Levels for Every Learner

Our curriculum follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)—an internationally recognized standard used to measure and describe language proficiency across Europe and beyond. This framework ensures that our teaching methods, course content, and learning objectives are aligned with global benchmarks of language education. Whether you're just starting out or aiming for advanced fluency, the CEFR provides a clear, structured path from beginner (A1) to advanced (C1/C2), allowing learners to track their progress with confidence. By adhering to CEFR standards, we guarantee consistency, quality, and a smooth transition between levels, making it easier for students to pursue academic studies, professional opportunities, or language certification in German-speaking countries.

A1 – Beginner

At the A1 level, students begin their German language journey from the ground up. This stage focuses on building a strong foundation in basic vocabulary and sentence structure. Learners are introduced to essential everyday expressions and simple phrases used in day-to-day interactions. By the end of this level, you will be able to introduce yourself, ask and answer basic questions, talk about your family, time, and daily routines, and understand slow, clear speech. A1 prepares you for real-life situations like shopping, traveling, and making small talk—all in German.

A2 – Elementary

The A2 level is designed to help you expand your basic knowledge and become more confident in everyday conversations. You’ll learn to understand and use frequently used expressions related to areas of immediate relevance such as work, school, and leisure. This level also introduces more grammar and sentence complexity, allowing you to describe your background, communicate in simple terms, and express needs and preferences. By the end of A2, you’ll be able to handle simple, routine tasks and understand short written and spoken texts with familiar vocabulary.

B1 – Intermediate

B1 marks a significant milestone in your language learning journey, shifting you from beginner to independent speaker. At this level, you’ll be able to understand the main points of clear, standard speech on familiar matters like work, school, hobbies, or travel. You’ll gain the ability to handle most situations that may arise while living or traveling in a German-speaking environment. B1 also focuses on improving your writing skills, enabling you to produce simple essays, emails, and reports. This stage builds your confidence to speak and interact comfortably in everyday and professional situations.

B2 – Upper-Intermediate

At the B2 level, your language skills become more refined and fluent. You’ll be able to understand the main ideas of complex texts and engage in conversations on both concrete and abstract topics. This level emphasizes more advanced grammar and vocabulary, allowing you to express your thoughts clearly and participate in discussions on a wide range of subjects. You’ll also develop the skills needed to write well-structured, detailed texts such as formal emails, presentations, and reports. B2 is ideal for those preparing to study or work in a German-speaking environment, as it equips you with the language tools needed for academic and professional success.
